| The Martingale system |
| The Martingale betting or wagering system is probably one of
the oldest gambling systems known to man. The theory behind it is
really very simple, everytime you lose you double your next bet
until you eventually hit a winner. In theory this system works
perfectly well except for one thing, it could require a very
large bankroll for a small net win. And not only that if you do
hit a long extended losing streak it could possibly wipe out even
a large bankroll. This system is what is known as a negative
progession system. Another problem with this system is that most
of the online casinos do put a maximum betting limit on most
casino games, and it is quite possible to go bankrupt and lose
your entire bankroll. So if you do use this system I would advise
that you set yourself a maximum limit as to what your willing to
wager, and stick to it. |
